With some 20 years experience as a hair stylist in New York City Salons — in such prestigious locations
as Vidal Sassoon, La Coupe & Louis Licari
— Michael is a sought-after talent. When not with clients at Stephen
Knoll Salon, Michael can be found on location for television and film, creating
memorable period and contemporary looks for the small screen and for the
silver screen; at fashion shoots for magazines such as Vogue, Mademoiselle, Bazaar, In Style and Teen People; or backstage working with some of New York's most fastidious
designers, creating runway hair fashion. Michael has been featured in top fashion magazines; styled hair for film, and been featured on numerous television shows.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Prior to joining Stephen Knoll Team some 9 years ago, Michael trained and worked at famed New York salons, Vidal Sassoon, La Coupe and Louis Licari, where he created looks for runway, film and television. He has also trained with Paul Mitchell, Tony Guy and Trevor Sorbie. He has assisted in product development and education programs for salons throughout the US. More recently, Michael has taken a further interest in product development and has educated himself on the best natural and technically advanced ingredients available. Such knowledge and experience is necessary when formulating unique, high-end cosmetic and hair products that do what they promise.
Michael believes it's important to be aware of the latest hair styling and hair cutting techniques, as well as new products available on the market.
Constantly educating himself and keeping a watchful eye on both style and product, Michael remains on the cutting-edge in the hair, fashion and beauty industries.
